About the Event
Another GCW winter Gathering and skill-building Mentoring opportunity will be offered on Saturday, March 15th, hosted by Peter Arnold and Geneie Everett, beginning at 10am.
The focus of this Gathering will be to teach you how to make bio-char, improve your soil productivity and sequester carbon for at least 1000 years in your own garden. GCW members have hosted several ‘biochar burns’ and presentations. Join the growing interest in biochar and a myriad of ways it is great for the environment.
We will gather outside around a fire for a hands-on demonstration and discussion about the magic of bio-char in your gardens. Dress warm, grab your hats, gloves and boots. If you would like to help to "prep the burn", bring a set of loppers and working gloves. The house will be warm and chowder hot.
