Presented by Ellie Sloan-Barton Ever walk through the woods and spot some magnificent-looking mushrooms and wonder whether they are edible …or NOT? You will learn identification, life cycle of the mushroom, foraging, growing techniques and their benefits.

Apple enthusiast, Ron Ross, will give a talk on what it takes to plan, plant, and ultimately pick apples from your own tree(s). Topics include selecting appropriate apple varieties, locating and preparing the site, planting and caring for young trees.

Presented by Corinne and Matt Stum—owners of Back River Bistro in Wiscasset Corinne and Matt will focus on growing and harvesting fall vegetables, including squash identification and preparation. They will include their cooking skills as Master Chefs and also their love of gardening.
