Flower Arrangement Workshop: Abstract Design

Dear members: there will be a flower arrangement workshop demonstrating abstract design on Thursday, September 26th at 10am at Robin Grant's home.  The definition of abstract design is as follows: a creative expression that combines elements of abstraction with the beauty and essence of flowers. It deviates from realistic representations and instead focuses on conveying emotions, ideas or impressions through bold shapes and vibrant colors and dynamic compositions. It employs nonrealistic natural and manmade materials solely as pure elements of line, color, form and texture to create a statement evoking a well-thought-out emotion. We will do a demonstration-type workshop. If you have some materials that you plan to use but would like ideas, please bring them. Please sign up by Tuesday the 24th if you are coming.
