5:30pm Flower Design Practice (& Refreshments) Theme: Gourds & Squashes (evening meeting) Create an arrangement using any kind of gourd

or squash which can be in any part of the design including as the container. Dried or fresh flowers can be used.


6:00pm Program:"Invasive Plants of Midcoast Maine"

Presented by Louisa Crane, Knox-Lincoln Soil & Water Conservation District Ever wondered what the big deal is about invasive plants, how they got here in the first place, and how they harm local ecosystems? In this program, attendees will learn about the plants that are disturbing natural ecosystems and replacing the native vegetation that makes Maine unique and supports diverse wildlife, including birds and insects. Attendees will learn identification features for key invasive terrestrial plants in our area and explore control & prevention strategies. Attendees are encouraged to bring samples of plants from their property for identification – please make sure samples are secured in a plastic zip-lock…
