The Elements and Principles of Flower Design
By Lisa Freeman The 8 Elements of Design are to do with tangible and/or visual qualities 1) Color - the result of light striking an object, and being reflected to the eye. Colors appear differently, depending on the quality of light. 2) Form - the 3 dimensional aspect of an object. All floral designs are combinations of various forms and are the strongest visual symbols in a design. They are either closed (solids) or open (spreading with space within).

What a memorable (and damp!) evening in the Village! Charlotte Henry
(1931 – 2026) It is with deep sadness that we share the news of the passing of Charlotte Henry at the age of 95 at St. Andrews Village in Boothbay Harbor. Before moving to St. Andrews, Charlotte lived right here in Wiscasset and first joined the Garden Club back in 1995—that’s 31 years ago! Lisa Freeman remembers her fondly, sharing that Charlotte was a lovely lady and recalling some of the truly beautiful flower arrangements she created for the club over the years. Outside
