Charlotte Henry

(1931 – 2026) It is with deep sadness that we share the news of the passing of Charlotte Henry at the age of 95 at St. Andrews Village in Boothbay Harbor.

Before moving to St. Andrews, Charlotte lived right here in Wiscasset and first joined the Garden Club back in 1995—that’s 31 years ago! Lisa Freeman remembers her fondly, sharing that Charlotte was a lovely lady and recalling some of the truly beautiful flower arrangements she created for the club over the years.

Outside of her passion for gardening, Charlotte was a lifelong scholar and educator. She held a Master’s degree in Literature and English from Trinity College in Hartford, CT, and had a distinguished career in education, retiring as the English Department Chairman and Supervisor at Northwest Regional High School in Winsted, CT.

Her warmth, intellect, and artistic touch brought so much to our club. We extend our deepest condolences to her two sons, Mark and Jay, her five grandchildren, two great-grandsons, stepdaughters, and extended family.
