Volunteering for Art Walk

It's once again ART WALK time! The GCW pop-up florist stand has become a beloved staple of Art Walk, offering gorgeous, expertly arranged flower bouquets for sale to the public.

Our participation not only provides us with a source of fundraising revenue, but it's also a great opportunity to extend our presence in the community and recruit new members to our ranks. And most importantly — it's a boatload of fun! This year, Wiscasset Art Walk will be held on the last Thursday of each month, from 4-7 pm. The dates are: June 27; July 25; August 29; September 26 On Thursday, June 27th, from 4 - 7 pm, the GCW will be selling bouquets in front of Treats on Main Street. There are three ways in which you can contribute: 1) Provide Flowers — Pick flowers, store them in a clean pail, and bring them to Terry Heller's porch at 2 Morton Street (just past the elementary school). You can pick flowers and foliage from your garden, or even wildflowers from the roadside. Please plan to pick on the morning of the 27th so we'll have fresh plants to work with and plan to drop them off by 2 pm. 2) Make Bouquets — Come arrange bouquets at Terry Heller's lovely home. We'll start at 2 pm, on the front porch with the flowers provided by our members. Never arranged flowers? Here's an excellent opportunity to learn and get plenty of practice!

3) Sell Bouquets — With enough volunteers, we can take shifts and each enjoy all that Art Walk has to offer. To sign up to help with Art Walk, please contact Terry Heller and let her know which task(s) you'd like to help with.
