GARDENING IN A CHANGING CLIMATE

Those of us who have settled into traditional cottage gardening - the profusion of blooms that blend from one plant into another -sometimes find ourselves, wishing we had gone in another direction.
That’s my feeling every time I visit the gardens of Ruth and Ed Meva, which neighbor the equally artful plantings of Peggy and Mike Mathews.
Both properties sit in full sun, yet thrive even on drought thanks to targeted morning watering and mulching. Texture and contrast, plus multiple container combinations, attract the eye and maximize the features of every plant.
