Our New Website Launch!

The Communications Team is thrilled to announce the imminent launch of our new website. Very soon the new site will be transferred to its official home at GardenClubofWiscasset.org.

In the meantime, we can access the site at: GCW Temporary Website Link

The goal of the new website is to create an informative and interactive online space to share our ideas with the wider community and give members easy access to useful tools.

New Features of the Website Include:

1. Online Applications: Prospective members may now submit their application and pay Club Dues online. Of course, new members will still have the option of applying by mail.

2. Online payments: Pay online for membership renewals, meetings and donations.

3. Event Calendar: The calendar is now more interactive, allowing you to RSVP to events directly from the site and pay for ticketed events online.

4. Outreach: We have pages dedicated to sharing about the various volunteer works we engage in. We hope to entice community members with shared interests to join GCW, while others in the community may be inspired to donate to our causes. We can now accept these donations online.

5. Resource Library: Access a wealth of gardening resources, including articles, tutorials, videos, and apps to help you make the most of your gardening journey.

6. Newsletter: Our widely loved and growing Newsletter has a new home online. The Newsletter is now searchable and articles can be tagged to display as updates on relevant pages elsewhere on the website.

7. Members Area: The Member Area is a private, members-only space within the site. Each member will need to create an account and log in to access this area. This section is designed to enhance the membership experience, organize club resources, and keep us connected with the following tools:

a) Message Board: Engage with other members on our new message board. Share tips, ask questions, swap plants, collaborate on projects, and more!

b) File Share: This feature allows members to easily upload, download, and share club-related documents and resources stored on our site.

c) Photo Gallery: Upload photos of events and our gardens to share with the rest of the club. Please do this! It will provide me with content for the website. Also, browse through beautiful photos that other members have posted.

d) Member Directory: This will become a searchable, comprehensive list of all club members. You’ll be able to find the contact information of members who choose to include this information in their profile.

e) Membership Renewal: Pay your annual dues online.

We hope you enjoy the new website and find it to be a valuable resource.
