8:30 - noon at the Wiscasset Town Hall front lawn
As the snow melts and plants start to think about reemerging from the ground, we need to get ready for our 35th Annual GCW Plant Sale. It's our biggest fundraiser of the year with proceeds going to our Scholarships and Community projects - all very important to us!
Please think about what plants you have to dig, divide, and donate to our sale. We really need all of you to help! We usually get about 700 plants to sell.
Some plants that sell well: anything unusual! anything blooming! and Astilbe, Baptisia, Bleeding Heart, Campanula, Dianthus, Epimedium, Ferns, Herbs, Heuchera, Hosta, Lamium, Lobelia, Lupine, Monarda, Phlox, Primrose, Pulmonaria, Rudbeckia, Sedum, Shasta Daisy, Solomon's Seal, Forsythia, Lilacs, Peonies, trees & shrubs.
If you need help digging your plants, please contact me, Lisa Freeman, or Debbie Lorenson.
We will have 2 potting days at my house (112 Sheepscot Rd, Newcastle) Thurs. April 23, 10 am and Wed. April 29, 10 am
If it's raining, we will reschedule. Please bring pruners, gloves, and your plants

to pot. Stay as long as you can, we usually work 2-3 hrs.
I have lots of pots, leaves for the bottom of each pot, soil, and labels.
If you are a new member, we will happily show you what to do. It's FUN!!!
We place the pots on my driveway and on Friday, May 8 - 10 am to noon, those of us who have signed up, transport the plants to the Town Hall, where the rest of us place them in groups on the lawn.

Saturday, May 9
Bake Sale - Please bring your baked goods, enticingly packaged and priced, to the bake sale table 7:30-8 am. Jan Flowers is in charge of the bake sale. Customers waiting in line for the plant sale to start may buy baked goods so we like everything to be ready early.
We will have tents for the bake sale, cashier tables, and membership.
It is our custom to wear pink if you can, and be sure to dress for the weather. I have all my fingers and toes crossed for nice weather!!!
I think that's all the important information for now. Please let us know if you have any questions.
We are counting on your support! Let's have a really fun and successful sale!
Thank you all,
Lisa Freeman & Debbie Lorenson, Plant Sale Co-Chairs
