President's Chirp: April, 2026

Is it Spring yet?  I do have some daffodils and tulips peeking out but the weather report is a bit more snow this week…ugh!

The annual Medomak District Luncheon is on Monday, May 4th. Please see the invite info on our event calendar.  Our club will reimburse your $30 cost, plus you can pop into the Coastal Maine Botanical Garden after lunch for free! 

Just sign up online, easy peasy. It’s that time of year when GCW needs your help.  PLEASE SIGN-UP online or come to our April 9th meeting and sign up on the lists provided, or contact Tina Sedney. To help with the plant sale, give Lisa Freeman a call and see where you are needed.  The gardens we care for in our community, the food everyone enjoys at our meetings, and the floral arrangements that bring smiles to the patrons of our library do not magically happen. 

We are an ACTIVE club and need many hands to make the workload light.  PLEASE SIGN UP

Our 35th Annual Plant Sale is on May 8th.  Hopefully, you will soon be digging up some great plants to contribute, have some recipes ready to try for the bake sale, and be just plain excited to be a part of this GCW tradition.
